Stay alive and be a good person. The world doesn’t need useless successful people. The world needs people whose lives are useful, whether for others, the environment, or living creatures on earth. God never created humans in vain. There is always a good role that can be taken even if it does not fit the communal definition of success.
When someone passes away, people don’t remember how much money they’ve amassed or the rank they held. They only remember how he used to behave in the world. Was he a dutiful son to his parents? Was he a loving father to his children? Was he a good husband? Was he a friendly neighbor? Was he a brother who got along well? Does he love to help? Is his speech pleasant and soothing? Was he persistent in pursuing his dreams? Did he ever hurt others during his lifetime? Did he ever misbehave and cheat? Was he arrogant and miserly?
Of course, thinking about the opinions of others in the world is not your business when you die, but when you are alive. I mean, life isn’t just about “us” and our apparent success. It’s also about the “best role” we’ve ever played in this world. No matter how bad things get, I pray that you remain a good human being. It’s okay not to be as successful as Gibran or Indra Kenz. Your inability to fulfill your dreams does not make you a failure as a human being. You are the best version of yourself in this life.
